The Dão wines come from the Beira Alta plateau enclosed between the mountain peaks of the surrounding hills, a region that has been demarcated since the beginning of the 20th century with a terroir that produces distinctive, noble and elegant wines with great ageing potential, to which similarities have been attributed with the French region of Burgundy.
