Argiano 1580

Argiano 1580 is one of Montalcino's historic and most prestigious Tenutas, founded in the 16th century and passed through various noble families until it came under the inspired leadership of Lady Ersilia Caetani Lovatelli.

Located in the village of Sant'Angelo in Colle, it is now owned by André Esteves, who restored and transformed it into an authentic winery/museum, where works of art and a private wine collection enrich the built heritage.

The team, made up of agronomist Francesco Monari and winemakers Bernardino Sani and Roberto Caporossi, was challenged to create wines that truly expressed the terroir of Montalcino.

The conversion of Argiano 1580 to sustainable and organic viticulture, combined with in-depth geological knowledge of the various plots, as well as low-intervention winemaking, has enabled the creation of wines of extreme elegance and freshness, which represent their origin and terroir.
