Casa Lebai is located in Gumiel de Mercado, in the Ribeira del Duero region, and is run by brothers Rodrigo and Asier, who have restored their family's centuries-old heritage. The vineyards, planted in 1936 with native grape varieties, are located at an altitude of over 800 metres and are certified organic.
The winemaking process combines traditional methods and modern oenological principles, with foot treading in large 17th-century stone presses, spontaneous fermentation and manual pressing, ending with ageing in used oak casks for 12 months for all wines, in a 16th-century underground cellar.
