Insula Vinus

Insula Vinus is a wine project located on the island of Pico in the Azores, founded in 2006 by winemaker Paulo Machado.

With the aim of cultivating indigenous grape varieties such as Arinto dos Açores and Verdelho, planted on the characteristic volcanic soils of the Atlantic, wines are produced that are marked by the unique minerality, freshness and salinity of the Azores terroir.

The production philosophy is based on small plots of vineyards harvested manually, using traditional winemaking methods, which results in wines of great expressiveness and limited editions.
