Textura Dona Áurea Bastardo

Textura Dona Áurea Red is a 100% Bastardo wine named in honour of grandmother Dona Áurea, symbolising the connection to the family's Portuguese roots. Coming from vineyards planted at an altitude of 600 metres on granite soils, it has delicate fruit aromas and a very earthy character, as well as being austere and fresh, revealing great complexity and ageing potential.

    Description

    Textura Dona Áurea Bastardo

    Grape varieties: Bastardo.
    Vinification: Ferment in a press with 30 per cent of the whole bunch and macerate for 15 days.
    Aging: 12 months in old barrels.
    Colour: Ruby open.
    Aroma: Delicate aromas of red fruits with an earthy character, as well as fresh and austere.
    Flavour:     The palate is full of fruit with a great sense of freshness and elegance, as well as dry but precise and textured tannins. It also shows great complexity, as well as enormous potential for ageing in the bottle.

    Serve: 16⁰
    Consumption: Immediate or guard (great potential for evolution).

    Harmonisation: Goes well with roasts, veal, grilled meat and octopus.
