Douro wines come from the three sub-regions - Baixo Corgo, Cima-Corgo and Douro Superior - where the continental and Mediterranean climates are closely related, conditioned by the Montemuro and Marão mountains.

The landscape is unmistakable and closely linked to wine. It is in the oldest demarcated region in the world that some of Portugal's most exceptional wines are produced.
