Cantina Ratti

The history of Cantina Ratti begins in 1965, when its founder Renato Ratti returns to Piedmont and acquires the first vineyard dedicated to the production of Barolo, in the historic area of Marcenasco, in La Morra.

It is at the Ratti Museum that we can find the map of Barolo vintages and the first map of the historical sub-areas of Barolo and Barbaresco, which were "incorporated" into their respective production regulations in 2010.

His premature death led Pietro, a recent graduate of the Alba Oenological School (the same one his father had attended), to join the company, continuing the work of expanding and restructuring the family vineyards, as well as the cultural recovery of wine, which has led to the national and international prestige of its wines.

In Cantina Ratti´s production philosophy, the "territory" is a central and fundamental element, recognising that the morphology, geological composition and characteristics of a particular vineyard, combined with cellar work that preserves them in the best possible way, play an essential role in the final result of the wine.
