Quinta de Macedos

Quinta de Macedos is located on the north bank of the River Torto, in Ervedosa do Douro. The family business is led by winemaker Paul Reynolds, who has preserved the vines planted and grafted in the field between 1920 and 1948, which are mixed with the younger vines, treated organically and sustainably.

Arranged in terraces, the vineyards are spread over a variety of terroirs facing north, east and west with elevations between 90m and 200m, giving them a very complex maturation profile.

The low intervention, limited production wines are the result of manual harvesting and foot treading in the typical granite lagares, and are aged at the Quinta until they are ready to be consumed.
