Textura Wines

Textura Wines is a family project led by Marcelo Araujo, which began with the acquisition and restoration of several plots of traditional vineyards in the Dão region.

The challenge of creating terroir wines and environmental awareness led to sustainable practices being introduced in the vineyards from the outset, as well as the start of the conversion process to organic viticulture.

Present in two sub-regions, Serra da Estrela (Vila Nova de Tazem) and Castendo (Penalva do Castelo), which have significant differences in terms of soils, altitudes, exposures and microclimate, although granite soils predominate at altitudes of up to 620 meters.
