Vinha das Penicas

Vinha das Penicas was born in the Beira Atlântico sub-region of Terras de Sicó by the hands of Alberto Almeida. The two hectares of old vines with mixed grape varieties began to be restored in 2006, divided into four plots from 50 to 100 years old.

The vineyards are cared for sustainably, following the principles of organic viticulture, where indigenous white and red grape varieties remain mixed, which gave rise to the first wines in 2017.

It is in a temperate Mediterranean climate with a maritime influence, frequent morning fogs and a wide temperature range that balanced maturation takes place and elegant wines with great freshness are obtained.
