Pol Roger Rosé Vintage 2018
Grape varieties: Pinot Noir 65%, Chardonnay 35%.
Aging: –
Colour: Pale salmon with delicate pink tones.
Aroma: The nose is intense and reminiscent of a basket of red fruits with raspberry and redcurrant mixed in, as well as nuances of exotic mango and papaya. With time and air, floral aromas of rose and honeysuckle dominate.
Flavour: On the palate, it fills the mouth with a certain sophistication and impressive length. Despite the obvious ripeness on the palate, the wine has fantastic freshness and a very present acidity.
Serve: 11⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: It goes well with fish such as grilled salmon or even sushi. It also goes perfectly with fruit tarts and other fruit desserts; try pairing it with a forced rhubarb fool, the sharpness of the fruit complements the elegant structure of the wine.
