Casa do Capitão-mor Alvarinho Reserve
Grape varieties: Alvarinho.
Vinification: Destemming, skin maceration for 5 to 8 hours at low temperature. Fermentation in stainless steel, leaving the wine on the fine lees with bâtonnage until bottling, with partial (10%) ageing in wood, tartaric stabilisation and only light filtration.
Aging: 6 months in bottle.
Colour: Clear, ripe citrus yellow colour.
Aroma: Complex and intense aromas of stone fruit and citrus fruits, as well as a hint of honey.
Flavour: The palate is fat and long, feeling the ageing on the lees and its batonnage, as well as balanced, elegant and persistent.
Serve: 12⁰ to 14⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage (+15 years).
Harmonisation: Baked fish and white meats.
