Herdade de Pegos Claros

The Pegos Claros Estate is located in Pegões, in the municipality of Palmela, with its oldest documentary records dating back to 1920. It is also known as Sesmarias de Pegos Claros.

The vineyards are in harmony with the cork oak forest, where cork oaks and stone pines make up the woodland, which extends over the property's 535 hectares.

Planted on sandy dryland soils in an organic regime, the centuries-old Castelão vineyards have a clear Atlantic influence, as well as a Mediterranean climate, characteristic of the Setúbal Peninsula.
