Pegos Claros Grande Escolha 2018
Grape varieties: Castelão.
Vinification: Harvested by hand and transported in small 20kg boxes. Foot treading and traditional fermentation in an open press with 40 per cent stalks.
Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels.
Colour: Ruby.
Aroma: Balanced and elegant, with prominent notes of red fruits and plums, as well as subtle, evolving notes of oak, along with slight toasted, spicy and light vegetal notes.
Flavour: Very elegant, deep, enveloping and smooth tasting. Its freshness gives it longevity and persistence.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Goes well with grilled or roasted red meats, game and cheeses.
