Quinta de San Michel

Quinta de San Michel is located in the historic wine-growing region of Colares, more precisely in the village of Janas, between the Serra de Sintra and the Atlantic Ocean.

The unique climatic conditions were the starting point for the development of the family project, with the aim of producing exclusive, limited-production wines from the Arinto and Malvasia de Colares grape varieties, which express a terroir with a strong Atlantic influence.

With the expansion of production, 2.5 hectares were planted dedicated to the main grape varieties of the Colares region, Malvasia de Colares and Ramisco, in typical sandy soils. These areas are cultivated under a system of maximum vigilance due to the highly unpredictable microclimate of the region.
