The history of Cantina Damilano is one of the oldest in Barolo, with centuries-old traditions. The family's activity dates back to 1890, when Giuseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather of the current owners, began harvesting and making wine in the municipality of Barolo, which represents a sacred place for oenology worldwide.
It is now with the new generation, led by Guido, Mario and Paolo Damilano, that Cantina Damilano has taken on an international dimension, both in terms of quality and image, without ever losing its original local identity.
The wines, of recognised national and international quality, come from some of the best MGA's (Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva) in the region, such as Cannubi or Cerequio, where sustainable, low-intervention viticulture provides the maximum expression of their terroir.
