Principal Grande Reserve Red 2013
Grape varieties: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Touriga Nacional, 20% Merlot.
Vinification: Manual harvest, destemming and crushing, transfer to temperature-controlled stainless steel vats where alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place. Maceration for about 20 days.
Aging: 24 to 30 months in 225 litre French oak barrels (new and used), followed by 8 years in bottle.
Colour: Ruby.
Aroma: Black fruit, mint and green pepper, as well as wood spices.
Flavour: Full-bodied, with fresh acidity and smooth tannins, as well as being very elegant with a long finish.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or guardianship (up to 20 years).
Harmonisation: Red meat and grilled meat.
