Casa de Paços Special Reserve
Grape varieties: Alvarinho and Loureiro.
Vinification: Fermentation and partial ageing in used French oak barrels on lees for 16 months, with bâtonnage. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally with the addition of lees from the following harvest.
Aging: Partially aged in French oak barrels, followed by 28 months in the bottle.
Colour: Clear, open straw yellow colour.
Aroma: Citrus, lemon leaf, well-integrated wood with some smokiness, as well as exotic floral notes.
Flavour: The palate is citrusy, complex with several layers, as well as creamy and with some dried fruit, denoting wood and good evolution.
Serve: 12⁰ to 14⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage (+15 years).
Harmonisation: Baked fish and white meats.
