Tito's Adega ‘CERCA DOS FRADES’ is the name given to a plot of land ceded by the population to the friars during their installation, at the behest of King Pedro III, in Santa Luzia on the island of Pico.

The vineyards were reclassified and replanted in 2015 by founder Tito Silva, with the aim of restoring the region's heritage and producing a small quantity of wines with minimal intervention that express the terroir.

The Cerca dos Frades is a gigantic network of stone corrals built to protect the vineyards from the sea and winds, where the vines grow and the grapes are harvested by hand.
