Fitapreta

Adega Fitapreta was founded in the Alentejo when António Maçanita and the winegrower David Booth decided to take on the project that would go on to bring the winemaker recognition.

The 14th century estate has been transformed into a modern winery, which has undergone an extraordinary process of restoration of the building with archaeological monitoring, allowing the magnificent heritage to be maintained.

Fitapreta wines express the region’s identity, drawn from various vineyards, whilst never losing sight of the revival of indigenous grape varieties from old vines over 50 years old – Chão de Eremitas – which produce rare single-varietal wines.
