Tenuta delle Terre Nere Moganazzi Etna Rosso
Grape varieties: Nerello Mascalese (from old vines aged between 70 and 80 years).
Vinification: Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature (28–30°C) using indigenous yeasts. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in oak.
Aging: 14 months’ ageing in French oak barrels and tonneaux, followed by 1 month in stainless steel vats before bottling.
Colour: A bright ruby red with subtle, translucent mahogany highlights.
Aroma: An intense and complex nose, with prominent notes of Mediterranean scrub, menthol, fine leather and ripe black and red fruits (cherries and blackberries), enveloped by hints of sweet spices and dried flowers.
Flavour: Full-bodied, velvety and with a uniquely creamy finish. It has a lively, linear profile, where the very fine, well-defined tannins rest upon a taut core of tart cherry, blood orange and a striking minerality reminiscent of flint.

Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Red meat, game, white meat, game, risottos and mature cheeses.
