Royal Palmeira White Loureiro 2010
Grape varieties: Loureiro.
Vinification: Pre-fermentation maceration, gentle pressing, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks. The final stage of fermentation takes place in French oak barrels over 10 years old, with bâtonnage carried out over a period of 6 months, and malolactic fermentation occurring in some of the barrels. Filtered and clarified after 12 months.
Aging: 12 months in used French oak barrels from Château d’Yquem.
Colour: Shiny gold.
Aroma: Distinct aromas of apricot, wax, fragrant flowers, ginger and lychees.
Flavour: Very mineral on the palate, with vibrant acidity, as well as a long finish that highlights the fruit’s ripeness.
Serve: 11⁰ a 12⁰
Consumption: Immediate.
Harmonisation: Great with Mediterranean dishes.
