Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé
Grape varieties: 55% Pinot Noir 45% Chardonnay
Aging: Partial ageing in oak barrels.
Colour: Pink hue with slightly coppery tints.
Aroma: The intense aromas of Pinot noir with pure, ripe and concentrated red fruits, as well as raspberry liqueur. Then there are hints of sweet spices and smoke, plus a touch of reduction (smoky, spicy) from the Pinot noir with its notes of undergrowth.
Flavour: A Concentrated and ample on the palate, where the red fruits are concentrated in a firm, dense texture that reveals itself in two phases: Initially the texture is silky and ample on the entry, followed by a firm, intense freshness. A feeling of concentration, of a whirlwind of flavours that gently and gradually burst like salt bubbles on the palate. The salty, iodised impression combines with the smoky notes and acidity to create umami and an infinitely, infinitely tasty flavour.
Serve: 11⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: The champagne par excellence for accompanying gourmet cuisine. It's the perfect match for white meats, but also reveals its full potential when served with lobster.
Enology: Jean-Claude Rouzaud
