Lagar de Macedos Red 2019
Grape varieties: Old Vines.
Vinification: Manual harvest followed by foot treading in granite presses with stalks and spontaneous fermentation (Indigenous Yeasts).
Aging: 10 months in new American oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing (unfiltered).
Colour: Ruby.
Aroma: Ripe black fruit, spices and a slight vegetal note, as well as light smoke and a smooth barrel.
Flavour: On the palate, it reveals soft tannins of great quality, restrained in texture and with great elegance and balance, as well as a persistent finish.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Goes well with red meat dishes and baked white meats.
