Barco Del Corneta Verdejo
Grape varieties: Verdejo.
Vinification: Manual harvest followed by selection. Maceration for 12 to 24 hours, pressed with the stems and left to settle naturally for about 24 hours. The must is transferred to barrels, where alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously.
Aging: 9 months on fine lees in 300L French oak barrels where it fermented.
Colour: Lemon yellow.
Aroma: Intense aromas of ripe fruit (apple, pear, peach), with hints of spice and subtle touches of oak. As it opens up in the glass, notes of dried herbs and tea emerge, with a mineral and saline background.
Flavour: On the palate, it is unctuous, expansive and well structured. It combines the opulence of fruit with a salty edge and notes of dry stone that give it complexity. It has a remarkable freshness and a bitter finish characteristic of the grape variety.
Serve: 10 to 12⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Fish dishes, white meat, seafood, mushroom risotto and salads.
