Quinta do Covão

Located in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, Quinta do Covão has the only vineyards in the Dão region cultivated in terraces, between 100 and 600 meters high.

Owned by the Gomes Ferreira family since 1990, it is the family concept that is the foundation of the project's success, and it is through the hands of winemaker and owner Filipe Ferreira that the wines of Quinta do Covão are produced.

Touriga Nacional, the national icon, recognised throughout the world, and the endemic "Salgueirinho", better known as Encruzado, are the grape varieties that mark the character and profile of Quinta do Covão's wines.
