Vinha das Penicas

Vinha das Penicas is produced in the Terras de Sicó sub-region of the Beira Atlântico by Alberto Almeida. The 4 hectares of old vineyards, planted with a mix of grape varieties, began to be restored in 2006 and are divided into five plots ranging in age from 50 to 100 years.

The vineyards are cared for sustainably, following the principles of organic viticulture, where indigenous white and red grape varieties remain mixed, which gave rise to the first wines in 2017.

It is in a temperate Mediterranean climate with a maritime influence, frequent morning fogs and a wide temperature range that balanced maturation takes place and elegant wines with great freshness are obtained.
