Somnium Douro

Somnium Douro is a project shared by winemakers Joana Pinhão and Rui Lopes, who had the desire to produce Douro wines from old high altitude vines since they were at university.

The typical old vineyards, where the Douro's native grape varieties are mixed, allow for the creation of wines of great complexity, freshness and potential for evolution.

The small production began with Somnium White, the first wine produced by Joana and Rui, followed by Somnium Red and more recently Somnium Granito.
