Taylor´s Very Old Port 1968 Limited Edition

Grape varieties: Several typical Douro grape varieties.
    Aging: Oak hulls.
Colour: Deep brown colour in the centre surrounded by a wide amber rim.
Aroma: Ripe and opulent nose of plum pudding, intense and powerful, with all the elements in perfect harmony. Warm base notes of sultanas and caramel mingle with a rich vanilla oak, aromas of walnut and marzipan and spicy touches of black pepper.
Flavour: The palate is round, concentrated and full of rich nutty and caramel flavour. Underpinning the smooth, dense texture is finely integrated acidity that delivers attractive freshness and lifts the long finish.

    Serve: 12⁰ to 16⁰
    Consumption: Immediate.

Harmonisation: It goes well with desserts flavoured with figs, almonds and caramel. It's also excellent with a custard or a bowl of strawberries. It can also be enjoyed alone, at the end of the meal, with nuts or other dried fruit.

    Producer: Taylor´s
