Schloss Gobelsburg Grub Gruner Veltliner
Grape varieties: Gruner Veltliner.
Vinification: Hand-picked, gently pressed (whole bunches) and the must is left to settle naturally by sedimentation. Spontaneous fermentation in large Austrian oak barrels.
Aging: 18 months in 25hl Austrian oak casks on fine lees.
Colour: Greenish-yellow.
Aroma: An intense bouquet of yellow and citrus fruits, intertwined with notes of spices such as liquorice and tarragon, and sometimes a subtle hint of tobacco.
Flavour: It is a full-bodied wine with a creamy texture and a richness of ripe fruit. The vibrant, fresh acidity gives it tension and balance, leading to a long, spicy, mineral finish with hints of white chocolate and fresh herbs.
