Quinta dos Carvalhais White Special
Grape varieties: Encruzado, Gouveio and Semillon.
Aging: In wood for 7 to 10 years on average.
Colour: Shiny gold.
Aroma: Aromas of gunpowder, truffles, honey and dried fruit stand out, as well as resinous nuances and balsamic notes.
Flavour: Ageing in barrels gives it a wealth of tertiary aromas and oaky notes..
Serve: 10⁰ a 13⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Note: Open the bottle an hour before serving to allow the wine to breathe and be at its best. If the wine has been in the bottle for more than five years, decanting is recommended.
Harmonisation: It can be served with roast fish, well-seasoned fish or cod; it is also ideal with red meats such as roast kid.
