Principal Grande Reserva White 2019
Grape varieties: 95% Chardonnay and 5% Arinto.
Vinification: Light pre-fermentation fermentation, gentle pressing, followed by batch fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Transferred to new 300-litre French oak barrels (15%), with bâtonnage during the first 4–6 months; malolactic fermentation may occur in some barrels.
Aging: 6–9 months in barrels, followed by 12–15 months in large 2,000-litre casks made from used French oak.
Colour: Shiny gold.
Aroma: Notes of fresh pineapple, hazelnuts, vanilla and a subtle buttery, toasty flavour.
Flavour: On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a very silky texture and vibrant acidity, as well as a long, juicy finish.
Serve: 8⁰ to 10⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage (up to 2032).
Harmonisation: Ideal for fish dishes, salads and white meats.
