Pegos Claros Primo 2016
Grape varieties: 85% Castelão and 15% Tintinha.
Vinification: Hand-picked, followed by fermentation with 50% stems in new 500-litre barrels (French oak).
Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels.
Colour: Ruby closed.
Aroma: Notes of ripe red fruits, enveloped in a complex ensemble highlighting aromas of menthol, spices, as well as subtle toasted notes.
Flavour: A very engaging wine, with noticeable but silky tannins and integrated acidity. Deep and very persistent finish.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Grilled or roasted red meats, game and cheeses.
