Monte Branco Red 20 Years is a wine of great aromatic complexity, rich and deep, revealing surprising aromatic freshness, with notes of dark wild berries, aromatic herbs, balsamic nuances and an elegant hint of resin and wood. Full-bodied and immensely powerful, it is lively and fresh, with tannins that are highly refined, polished and firm, as well as a long finish that is extremely classy and deeply gastronomic.

Monte Branco Red 20 Years

Grape varieties: 75% Alicante Bouschet and 25 % Trincadeira.
Vinification: The 2017 Alicante Bouschet, fermented in a foot-treading wine press, and the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Trincadeira, fermented in vats.
Aging: The Alicante Bouschet is aged in 2,200-litre foudres. At the end of each 12-month period, 10 per cent of the volume is drawn off and Trincadeira is added.

Intense garnet. 
Aroma:
Rich, complex and deep, revealing a surprising aromatic freshness, with notes of dark wild berries, aromatic herbs, balsamic undertones and an elegant hint of resin and wood.
Flavour: Full-bodied and immensely powerful, lively and fresh, with the structure of the Alicante Bouschet balanced by the elegance of the Trincadeira. The tannins are very refined, polished and firm, complemented by a long finish that is extremely classy and deeply gastronomic.

Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.


Harmonisation: Red meat, roast lamb, black pork cheeks.
