Mira do Ó Outrora Classic
Grape varieties: Baga.
Vinification: Hand-harvested, the grapes are partially destemmed and fermented slowly in a wine press using foot treading.
Aging: Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels (50% new), with late malolactic fermentation.
Colour: Deep Ruby.
Aroma: On the nose, iodine and mineral notes dominate, against a backdrop of cherry aromas and hints of dark chocolate, black pepper, blackberries and smoky notes.
Flavour: On the palate, all these aromatic notes are enhanced by the lively acidity and enveloping structure. The tasting is punctuated by subtle salty notes that add a sparkle to the long finish.
Serve: 16⁰
Consumption: Storage.
Harmonisation: Red meat, roast meat, Bairrada suckling pig.
