Lagar de Macedos Red is a low-intervention wine fermented with indigenous yeasts. It has notes of ripe black fruit, spices and a slight vegetal aroma, as well as a hint of smoke and a smooth oak finish. On the palate, it reveals smooth, high-quality tannins, with great elegance and balance, as well as a persistent finish.

    Lagar de Macedos Red 2019

    Grape varieties: Old Vines.
    Vinification: Manual harvest followed by foot treading in granite presses with stalks and spontaneous fermentation (Indigenous Yeasts).
    Aging: 10 months in new American oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing (unfiltered).
    Colour: Ruby. 
    Aroma: Ripe black fruit, spices and a slight vegetal note, as well as light smoke and a smooth barrel.
    Flavour:
    On the palate, it reveals soft tannins of great quality, restrained in texture and with great elegance and balance, as well as a persistent finish.


    Serve: 16 to 18⁰
    Consumption: Immediate or storage.


    Harmonisation: Goes well with red meat dishes and baked white meats.
