Insula Chão de Sal Clarete comes from old vines that are over 80 years old, where white and red grape varieties are mixed. The result is a wine with a very expressive aroma, with red fruits, some citrus fruits and aromatic herbs, as well as being fresh, mineral and salty.

    Insula Chão de Sal Clarete

    Grape varieties: Merlot, Syrah, Saborinho, Arinto dos Açores, Verdelho, and others (from old red vineyards, with more than80 years).
    Vinification: Half is produced by direct pressing of whole bunches which, after settling, ferment with wild yeasts. The other half is produced by macerating the skins at low temperature for 3 days from destemmed and partially crushed grapes.
    Aging: Stainless steel.
    Colour: Citrine.
    Aroma: Very expressive aroma of red fruits, some citrus fruits and aromatic herbs.
    Flavour: Smooth body, very fresh and salty.


    Serve: 10 to 12⁰
    Consumption: Immediate or storage.


    Harmonisation: Grilled fish with white meats, pasta, salads and some desserts with red fruits.
