Argiano 1580

Argiano is one of Montalcino's historic and most prestigious Tenutas, founded in the 16th century and passed through various noble families until it came under the inspired leadership of Lady Ersilia Caetani Lovatelli.

Located in the village of Sant'Angelo in Colle, it is now owned by André Esteves, who restored and transformed it into an authentic winery/museum, where works of art and a private wine collection enrich the built heritage.

The team, comprising agronomist Francesco Monari and oenologists Bernardino Sani and Roberto Caporossi, was challenged to create wines that truly expressed the terroir of Montalcino, based on sustainable and organic viticulture, combined with a deep geological understanding of the various plots, as well as a low-intervention winemaking process.
