Taylor´s Vintage Port 2017

Taylor's Vintage Port 2017 is a Port of extraordinary quality from the legendary Taylor's, from a great vintage year in the Douro. A surprising Port, with a nose full of very fine fruit, intoxicating and complex, but contained by a graphite minerality. It has agile and muscular tannins, firm and very connected, as well as a finish with a powerful wave of fresh and very pure berry fruit.

    Taylor´s Vintage Port 2017

Grape varieties: Several typical Douro grape varieties.
    Aging: Oak hulls.
Colour: Retinto, opaque in the centre with narrow purple rim.
Aroma: The nose is full of very fine and linear fruit, intoxicating and complex, but restrained by a graphite minerality. Quinta da Vargellas has made its mark with the characteristic fragrance of violets, which hangs like a perfumed veil over the wine, with discreet notes of citrus, wild herbs and cistus.
Flavour: In the mouth the wine is cohesively bound by agile and muscular tannins, firm and very connected, finishing with a powerful wave of fresh and very pure berries.

    Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage (decant the wine).

Harmonisation: Nuts, intense flavoured cheeses and blue-veined cheeses are excellent accompaniments to Vintage Port. Dried fruits, such as apricots and figs, are also a perfect match.

    Enology: David Guimarães
