Beira Interior wines come from a region in the interior of Portugal, located between the Alto Alentejo and the River Douro, characterised by a continental climate and granite soils with sandy and schist areas, which is divided into 3 sub-regions: Pinhel, Castelo Rodrigo and Cova da Beira.
