Companhia de Vinhos Profetas e Villões

The Profetas e Villões Wine Company has its origins in an ancient story, the ‘Prophets’ of Porto Santo and the ‘Villains’ of Madeira Island, which gave its name to the challenge launched by Nuno Faria to António Maçanita, when he was confined to the island at the beginning of the pandemic.

The enchanting white-walled vineyards of the island of Porto Santo, where the Listrão and Caracol grape varieties grow on limestone soils under the influence of the Atlantic climate, have made it possible to create exceptionally distinctive wines.

On the island of Madeira you'll find vines grown on pearls, planted on terraced land with very steep slopes, planted on volcanic soils.
