Taylor´s Tawny Port 40 Years
Grape varieties: Several typical Douro grape varieties.
Aging: Oak casks for an average of 40 years.
Colour: Golden and olive green.
Aroma: Exceptional density and a powerful nose of dried fruit, honey and a touch of spice. Signs of nutmeg, roasted coffee and intense nutty sensation converge, both on the bouquet and on the palate.
Flavour: The rich, intense, voluptuous and almost viscous texture of the wine culminates in a finish of incredible persistence.
Serve: 12⁰ to 16⁰
Consumption: Immediate.
Harmonisation: Dessert wine. It goes well with fig, almond and caramel flavours. It is also excellent to accompany a crème brulée or a bowl of strawberries. It can also be enjoyed alone at the end of the meal with nuts or other dried fruit.
