Schloss Gobelsburg Lamm Gruner Veltliner
Grape varieties: Gruner Veltliner.
Vinification: Hand-picked, gently pressed (whole bunches) and the must is left to settle naturally by sedimentation. Spontaneous fermentation in large Austrian oak barrels.
Aging: 6 to 12 months in 25hl Austrian oak casks on fine lees.
Colour: Greenish-yellow.
Aroma: Ripe yellow fruit, such as peach, mango and apricot, as well as floral notes and wild herbs, herbal spices and a subtle tobacco background.
Flavour: Full-bodied, rich and with a remarkable creamy texture, combined with a vibrant acidity that balances the sweetness of ripe fruit, culminating in a long, salty, mineral and complex finish.
Serve: 10 to 12⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Ideal with fish, white meat, cheese, scallops and lobster.
