Casa Ferreirinha Reserva Especial 2014 is a superior quality Douro wine, first produced in 1960 by Fernando Nicolau de Almeida. Made from a selection of grapes from the Upper Douro vineyards, it has notes of black fruit, spices and balsamic notes. Intense, lively and complex with an extremely long finish.

    Grape varieties: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz.
    Aging: 18 months in French oak barrels.
    Colour: Deep ruby colour.
    Aroma: Complex, with notes of spices, liquorice and balsamic resin, tobacco box or cedar, as well as black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant.
    Flavour: Vibrant and lively acidity, very firm and rustic tannins, as well as notes of spices, black fruits and balsamic flavours. With an extremely long finish, it is a wine of great elegance and complexity.


    Serve: 16 to 18⁰
    Consumption: Immediate or storage.


    Harmonisation: Red meat, roast meat, game and strong cheeses.
