Monte Branco Red
Grape varieties: 70% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Aragonez and 10% Trincadeira.
Vinification: Hand-harvested. Fully destemmed. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 3 days. Fermentation in temperature-controlled vats at 26/27°C.
Aging: 1 year in 300-litre French oak barrels (80 per cent new).
Colour: Deep Ruby.
Aroma: An intense and complex nose, brimming with ripe black fruits, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, subtle toasty notes and hints of cocoa, as well as a refined, fresh herbal note of dry undergrowth typical of Trincadeira.
Flavour: Great structure and body without being heavy, with surprising aromatic freshness and great precision. The tannins are firm but already very polished; the finish is long and very elegant.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage.
Harmonisation: Red meat, roast lamb, black pork cheeks.
