Mira do Ó Aliás Red
Grape varieties: Baga.
Vinification: Hand-harvested, fermented in a wine press with 10% stems, and finished in barrels without the addition of yeast.
Aging: Aged for 12 months on fine lees in the barrels in which it fermented.
Colour: Ruby.
Aroma: The variety’s iodine-like minerality, along with notes of cherry and a subtle vegetal freshness.
Flavour: On the palate, it offers a unique freshness, with tannins that are present yet very silky, notes of fruit, flowers and herbs, spices, and an Atlantic acidity that carries the wine through to a very long finish.
Serve: 16-18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storge (great potential).
Harmonisation: Roast meats, Bairrada suckling pig.
