Grape varieties: Several typical Douro grape varieties.
Aging: 630 litre oak casks with an average age of 20 years.
Colour: Deep amber.
Aroma: Its splendid bouquet is a complex marriage of ripe honeyed fruit, hints of spice like cinnamon, butterscotch and subtle woody nuances.
Flavour: In the mouth, the wine has a smooth and velvety texture confirming the nose notes.
Serve: 12⁰ to 16⁰
Consumption: Immediate.
Harmonisation: It goes well with fig, almond and caramel flavours. It is an excellent complement to a crème brûlée or a plate of wild strawberries. It can also be enjoyed on its own at the end of the meal with nuts or dried fruit.
