Croft Vintage Port
Grape varieties: Old Vines - Field Blend.
Aging: 2 years in 9000L oak barrels.
Colour: Opaque Ruby.
Aroma: A seductive Croft nose, ripe and voluptuous, but with the depth and density characteristic of the 2017 vintage. Juicy, fleshy blackcurrant, black cherry and raspberry form the backdrop. Resinous aromas of eucalyptus and cistus mingle with pungent notes of sage and mint, fresh hints of grapefruit and sweet spices.
Flavour: On the palate, firm, vigorous tannins are wrapped in a thick envelope of dense, velvety textures. It's also a powerful, dense and deeply expressive wine, with the concentration and vigour that guarantees a long life in the bottle.
Serve: 16 to 18⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage (Great Potential - Decant).
Harmonisation: Intense flavoured and blue-veined cheeses. Dried fruits and desserts with dried fruit.
