Casa do Capitão-mor Alvarinho Sur Lie
Grape varieties: Alvarinho.
Vinification: The wine was aged on fine lees for 2 years and 7 months. It underwent malolactic fermentation with partial ageing in barrels. Part of the batch fermented in oak barrels, while the other part fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks.
Aging: Part in stainless steel and part in oak barrels.
Colour: Clear, straw yellow colour.
Aroma: Aromas of dehydrated fruit, such as apricot, quince and apple, as well as complex aromas of fig jam, jam, caramel and coffee, as well as jam, nuts and toast.
Flavour: A complex and harmonious coca, elegant with a lot of unctuousness, as well as good persistence.
Serve: 12⁰ to 14⁰
Consumption: Immediate or storage (15 years).
Harmonisation: Not too strong cheeses and smoked fish.
