Quinta de Santiago

Quinta de Santiago, situated in Monção and Melgaço, is a family-run estate with a history dating back to 1899, which in 2009 evolved into a boutique winery, using its own grapes to produce wines of the highest quality.

After a career in law, winemaker Joana Santiago took over the family business, focusing on the production of high-quality wines, primarily from the Alvarinho grape variety, in keeping with the family’s heritage.

Through sustainable practices and minimal intervention, Quinta de Santiago produces authentic wines that faithfully express the terroir of the Minho, reflecting the family’s wisdom and memories of the wine-growing region.
